CHANEL- Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring 2017 was held in PARIS, France at the Grand Palais.
arum lilies, mirrored walls and floor masked the Grand Palais for the show.
And the theme of the show seemed to be Reflective Mirrors, as the decor went hand in hand with Karl Lagerfeld’s this year’s looks ( outfits & accessories) for the Chanel Haute Couture 2017 .
The inspiration for this year’s Haute Couture collection was Spoon Woman, a 1926 bronze by Chanel’s friend Alberto Giacometti.
The new silhouettes emphasise the hip, like the softly rounded bowl of a spoon, which have the effect of raising the waist, which was emphasised by a belt (majorly in silver/white) in almost each & every look, which will persuade a shape type for couture clients.
In fact, it was the most sophisticated & minimalistic interpretation/rendition of the Chanel heritage , a reminder of a moment in time when the classic Chanel look was emblematic/evocative of a modern, woman . Again, an exegesis of reflection.
There was no such thing as overdressing ,with a clean & modern backdrop along with minimalistic looks that were sofisticated & dramatic
An emphasis on tailoring was seen in the collection .
Apart from all those glittery silver sparkle silhouettes ,the colour palllete was myriad candy/pastel shades including —
mint, checkered pink, peach, lavender, yellow
The CHANEL Couture Show 2017 reflected nothing but pure glittery elegance & sophistication.
